| Synopsis
of Novel 5 in the series "What Made Them Famous?" |
Joan
of Arc, the Messenger A young girl becomes France's national heroine.
France was in the midst of war. The country had not known peace for close to a
hundred years. It was during the year 1412, in the small village of Domrémy
that a special little girl, Joan, was born. From babyhood she experienced
the terror of being forced to flee from marauding English soldiers. As
she grew into a young girl, Joan never dreamed that she would play a major role
in bringing about peace in her land. She led French soldiers into battle
and made the coronation of the Dauphin as King of France possible.
This is a story of action and faith as Joan accomplishes her amazing
feats not out of any desire for personal glory, but in service to God. |
